Re: 16 Valve B202 engine rebuild 2011
I would buy one set, maybe two depending on the price. Send me a P/M, I don't see myself having time to do it myself any time soon, I may be out of a job at the end of the week, and the quicker I can get the car running the easier my life will be.

Shop is slow, and my skills are expensive. Walter isn't interested in any kind of shared ownership, so I'm on the hunt. If interviews this week fall through I may get a small warehouse space and work on my own for a while. I'm sure you guys will be the first to know.

All these nice parts that I will eventually want, but by the time I can afford it they will be gone.
would be real nice to get one of your crank trigger mount kits
a set of Drew's cam sprockets, and timing cover mod.

Those are on David's to-do list also, and we will make them so that you can buy the pieces and just epoxy (or weld) them in yourself.

After welding mine in, I vote epoxy for simplicity. First you have to have the TIG machine and skill to weld in. Welding on a casting is very tough. This is only part of it. Next step is clamping it to the Bridgeport and getting it flat.
So if you go with epoxy, prep is very, very important. The timing cover has been sitting in oil for the past 20+ years.

Maybe heating the aluminum in an oven would help. That's what I've done for powder coating prep.

Almost done. Need to mate the gearbox and engine, clutch stuff and she will be ready to go back in.
I'm going to go thru all the boxes and plastic bags today to see what is left. I'm hoping not much, but know is the time to find out.

Thanks.
Elbow grease... Wire brushes, scotchbrite, brake cleaner, oil eater degreaser.

How much were you selling the timing trigger kits for? I may have interest if another batch were produced.

The first run was priced at 199 cash price, plus shipping if you committed to the group buy. 225 if you asked for one later. I gave a 10% discount if you bought 2 or more and I can gang together for more economical shipping.
3% additional for paypal if you decide to use that service.
I think the price on this second run will be very similar. I think I have gained enough interest to do a second run. I also incorporated some changes to the models from folks' feed back.
Let me know what you would like to do.
Some of the picture I show are my personal set that I have the parts powder coated. The standard is unfinished bare.

Re: 16 Valve B202 engine rebuild 2011
Got some "good" help yesterday from Kevin and Hans.
Gear box and engine mated.
9000 clutch installed. Nice to have the extra set of hands.
We had to do this twice because the flywheel bolts were under torqued. Better now than finding out the hard way later.
Here we go... A lot of little things to hook up, line up, and get out of the way for it to drop in.
After we finally got it sitting correctly, Hans headed out.
Thanks guys.
