NY Times covers ice racing

The NY Times has an article about ice racing, and a pretty cool video, too: gotta love the crotchety old racer out there mid-race with a cigarette hanging off his lip:

Its good to see they chose a group of people who well describe the the typical ice racer with the typical choice of vehicle and studs. o_O

I went and watched those guys a number of years ago when they were racing in north central MA. A lot of wheel to wheel bashing, driving in circles, boneheads yelling at you for looking at someone else's car.....

Did anyone else see the ad on the right for the "collectible car of the year" contest?

Someone on the NYT web team likes old Saabs: they've been using that shot plus one of a Sonett to advertise the contest since January.
