You can use the camshaft chain from the OG900, 9K 16V turbo from iwis.
But you need the tool.

Maybe other cars have the same chain. (Download the Iwis catalog)

Id really like to have it in for Mt washington in a couple weeks. If I had chains before the end of the week it could maybe be done this weekend which would leave some chance to drive the car around.

If you find any that would be awesome and very helpful. Im also not doing the transmission work, so if you do have any, I will PM you a shipping address.

I purchased chain by the foot when I put the 30/30 primaries in my 86.

I will have to dig to see what brand it was. But I just used clip style master links and had no problem.

The problem I found with used ones was they stretch a fair amount over time.

Thank to Jordan for getting those chains out quickly. The cluster shafts bearings came in and are correct and I also received a bearing for the primary that will work. I think we have a machine shop that will do the machining by tomorrow, so hopefully it will be ready to go this week.

One last minor thing I don't have is a 4speed side cover gasket. I didn't realize the later ones were different.

You can buy sheets of gasket material and make your own as well. Mr Williams showed me some tricks for this and its quite easy. You can place the material over the end of the cover and locate it with a few holes, then use a ball peen hammer to lightly tap the edges of the cover through the gasket material and it will imprint the gasket similar to a cookie cutter.

Good tip on the gaskets. I'll probably use 518 this time, but Ill keep that in mind for future transmissions etc.

The transmission is together though. Im going to put a couple covers on myself, other than that it just needs oil! Headed to pick it up after work tomorrow. :luke: :woohoo: Looking to have it in by this weekend.

You might want to run something different as you don't need to accommodate those pesky syncros anymore. I can't remember what the recommendation is. I'm sure Luke knows.
