Re: G-stock or DSP build
On the side of the fuel dissy and the airflow meter should be a plate with the bosch numbers on them.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
The n/a fuel dist. Was stupid rich and it seams I needed a bit more voltage for the lambda computer to start working. The car is now a runner!!!! Now to get the brakes and cooling systems sorted.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
New plugs fixed the bad misfire. Now I need to get some good fuel, tires and brakes to see if boost is possible

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Unfortunately the nice clean oil that was in the pan is now a grey froth so I'm a bit worried. Ill do an oil change and see if it was just condensation or a sign of big expense.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Good news the coolant is not mixing with the oil it was just condensation built up from sitting. Now I have to disassemble the fuel system and anneal all the washers.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Update
Fuel system is sealed up no more leaks. I have a persistent #2 misfire. My diagnosis route has been check for spark (good) check for fuel (good) next check for stuck valves. After all this has sat since 2004.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
On my brother's '73 that sat for about 10 years one of the lifters was all corroded into the cam bearing/lifter carrier. Very easy fix to take apart and clean it all up, just be extra careful not to mix up or lose any of the valve lash shims that sit under the lifters.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
It does point in that direction. I pulled the valve cover and gave both valves for no2 a rap. It ran on all 4 for about a minute then went back to the miss. I am worried about the cam chain if I disassemble the valvetrain. I suppose the dealer service manual has something on that.

b motors have a cool trick where you can suspend the cam gear while taking out or spinning the cam... just make sure all of the pistons are mid-stroke.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Yup. You just bolt the cam sprocket to that little fork that sticks up next to it and it'll hold it spaced up and keep the chain tensioned. Then pull the small bolts that hold the cam bearing caps on, pull the cam, pull the lifters (keep them in order along with the shims) and pull the cam carrier off. It centers on two dowel pins, make sure you don't drop them if they come out of the head. Then check the bores and the lifters for spots of corrosion.
Grease them up with assembly lube on reassembly to make sure they are lubricated until oil pressure builds up in the carrier passages. Also make sure that none of the oil passages on the bottom of the cam carrier are crusted up or blocked, that'll cause problems with the lifters sticking too.
We just cleaned them up with scotchbrite and put back together with assembly lube.
This is the underside of the cam carrier.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Odd twist to all this headache if I unplug the coil wire and spin the engine it spins with compression on all 4. I'm back to throwing rocks at the ignition. Ill replace all the consumables and see what happens.

Re: G-stock or DSP build
Ok I'm officially pulling my hair out. I've put a new cap and rotor on and it still has a dead #2. I then dissassembled the top end and found all the lifters moved freely. I'm at a loss... I have good compression on all 4 I have good spark the fuel is.... Hopefully going in, I swapped 1&2 injectors to see if that was the problem. My confusion is circling around back toward the injection. Oh and I have to go find a bigger crescent type wrench to align the camshaft again.
