Couple people are still hunting for hard parts, doors, windscreen gaskets, etc., might be worth calling this guy.

Who has this many Saabs sitting around their house with huge stockpiles of parts anyway, right?? Right??? :luke:

I have been chatting back and forth with this guy for a few weeks.

He has some cool stuff. I have not discussed prices with him yet, as I am still getting info on what he has. If he were closer to me I would have just visited him with a wad of cash.

All his 99's are later than what I need, and seem to be in decent shape. Enough to warrant fixing them up. He has 4-5 complete 99s. I think he has a few vintage cars as well. Mostly 900's though.

x2

That Chamotte 99 is a twin to one of my cars and that dark brown 99 looks like it could have potential. The red 96 with the vintage PIAAs, S&R airdam and "YUMPIN 96" front plate opens my eyes... I wonder what else it's hiding. That silver Aero looks good on the outside (I've always liked the look of those cars in that color).

I bought some stuff from that guy and it's currently in transit to me. Looks like a great stash he has.

Does that make it a legit accessory? I'm still not putting it back on :P

(ps the hole on the 99 has been patched!)

That's the factory-recommended placement for the antenna on a 96, most that have a radio have it mounted there.

I have never seen a 99 with an antenna mounted on the front fender. It looks terrible!

I've bought stuff from this guy before. Be sure to ask nicely that he uses good packing material :)

Was this the source of the broken 99 windshield?

No, but in defense of that guy he really was kind enough to take care of all costs on that.

What I got from this guy was a few badges and four tail lights. Unfortunately two of the tail lights cracked in shipping. They were just wrapped loosely in butcher paper in a photo copy paper box shipped parcel post. Who was the guy here that had his wheels balanced and the mechanic marred the wheels and then said something like "It's just a saab..."?

It's just a saab. :ranting:

That would be me. The wheel was stuck to the hub, so he hit the spokes with a 3lb hammer.
