The damage was actually pretty minimal...need one piece of plastic, one radiator repaired, and one headlight frame straightened or replaced. I have a slight headache but not much else. I think I'll chalk this one up to early season jitters.

 Mongo make giant oak look tiny.

You could submit to America's Funniest Home Videos and pay for your trip to South America.

geeze, how are the family jewels!?

What I don't understand is why you kept doing it over and over and over again.

Despite what it may look like, the family jewels kept their distance from the tree. My shoulder, chest, and face took a good hit and the inside of my leg near my knee as well. Luckily I was wearing a helmet, knee brace armor, and a chest protector so I am feeling ok...tomorrow will be the true test.....I don't feel any pain until 48 hours after.

What are you riding? A Hodaka? I would think a big bore KTM would mow that little tree right down, I know mine took out a few :yay:

Just got back from Rally training out in the Nevada desert. I flew out last Thursday morning and rode Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Rode 2 loops for a total of 80 miles on Friday, rode 3 loops for a total of 150 miles on Saturday, and rode 70 miles on Sunday. The route on Sunday ended in the Dumont sand dunes where we practiced navigating and riding over dunes. I only played on the little dunes then ran out of water in my camel back....and also overheated a bit. I would have gone around to the big dunes but was pretty cooked by then. A good weekend and got a lot of hands on practice navigating while riding. The highlight of the weekend was blasting across the desert on a rough 2 track trail at 60 mph and praying that there were not any big washouts....and finding that in fact there were no big washouts. There were small ones (read no more than 3 feet deep), but at 60 mph the bike practically floated over them. I think I ran over a turtle, definitely exploded a few small cactus, lots of sage brush, and a few small bushes....not intentionally but sometimes its hard to correct fast enough. Only had one crash where the front wheel washed out at 15 mph sending me somersaulting into the sage brush...had a couple of slow tip overs. I'll get some photos up when my friends post them. I didn't bring a camera this time.

Also stayed one night in the Piazzo (spelling?) hotel in Vegas last night. That place is crazy....has 7000 rooms and our room had two beds and a pull out couch. The room was on the 35 floor. Lots of women dressed like hookers, lots of boob jobs, lots of plastic surgery...overall kind of a creepy place. Normally I'd enjoy the scenery but it was a little overwhelmingly weird.
